ॐ नम: शिवाय

I dedicate this work to Great Divine Power of the Universe.

ManiMahesh Lake, which is also known as Dal (means lake), is situated in the Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas. The ManiMahesh Kailash peak that stands high close to the lake is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva (Hindu deity). The lake is situated at a height of 13,500 feet above sea level. This place is believed to be second to the lake Manasarovar in its religious significance.

Specially thankful to Prof. Sudipto Mukherjee who while playing football at IITD ground, who gave a hint about this place which made me think towards this direction. Later down the years, a chance trip to this beautiful place caused a strong urge to develop a dedicated website on this heavenly place. Although many blogs and websites now, describe this place much comprehensively, its my effort to put together my experience as well as compiled information, which I collected before visiting this place. I sincerely hope that this  information is useful to anybody who wants to enjoy a very beautiful spiritual journey.

I went to ManiMahesh in Sept 2007, between Janmashtmi and Radha Ashtami. That time, I hardly knew anything about that place, except that it is known to be the abode of Lord Shiva and the base of Kailash mountain - from where we can see the holy Kailash. I kept searching on the Internet; found few pages on the blogs, but could not find a single website dedicated to it. So I created this website, to assist fellow seekers who are religious followers searching for divinity, and travellers in pursuit of peace and serenity, to find a glimpse of a beautiful place.
